Earlier in the year, on July 13, 2024, Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. In that incident, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks fired eight shots, underscoring the persistent threats faced by the former commander-in-chief.
